· CNRL CLEARHILLS ALBERTA SOUR GAS
Debottlenecking of an existing 80 MMSCFD (2 trains of 40 MMSCFD) MDEA and refrigeration plant. Lower inlet pressures were causing problems to the contactor and exchangers. Models of the MDEA and DP control plants were developed. All equipment was rated as per HYSIM calibration run, maximum throughputs for the lower inlet pressures were run on the HYSIM model. All equipment bottlenecks were identified and plant maximum throughputs were established at the lower pressures.
· CNRL GOLD CREEK SOUR GAS EXPANSION
Debottlenecked the existing gold creek sour gas and sulphur plant. Three cases were simulated:
o The existing throughputs to obtain a base case (2450 103 m3/D)
o An additional 700 103 m3/D of new gas.
o Maximum case of 3718 103 m3/D throughput.
The bottlenecks were identified (additional chiller and gas/gas exchange the sulphur plant simulations showed no bottleneck), the expansion was completed and the plant handled the additional gas.
· PETROBANK ALDER FLATS GAS PLANT
Relocated an existing 5MMSCFD Sweet Gas Plant from Saskatchewan to Alder Flats, Alberta. Turnkey project, de-bottlenecked plant, added refurbished 700 HP Compressor, and new de-ethanizer tower and reboiler. Falcon handled all Design (Process, Mechanical, Instrument, Electrical, PLC programming), Construction and Project Management. Project kick-off was September 23, 1996 and plant startup was December 21, 1996. Present plant throughput is 15 MMSCFD. Cost was $3.5 million.
· CANADIAN 88 16-33 OLDS GAS PLANT
Full EPCM of 20 MMSCFD Sweet Gas Plant. Plant was new and designed for 30 MMSCFD lean gas. Plant was installed in four months. The de-ethanizer reboiler was replaced by a kettle type (original was 250 MBTU/HR; new was 1. 8 MMBTU/HR). Falcon performed all detailed design, procurement and project management. Total cost was $4 million.
· CANADIAN 88 THREE HILLS GAS PLANT CAPACITY REVIEW
Built a HYSIM model of the existing plant. Matched existing operating conditions with model. Extrapolated model to predict bottlenecks and maximum throughputs. Issued report with recommendations. Increased refrigeration capacity with zero capital investment. Identified operating bottlenecks. Increased liquid recovery by 70 BBL/D.
· CANADIAN 88 WILLOW CREEK GAS PLANT
Complete EPCM of 35 MMSCFD/D Sweet Gas Plant. All Process, Mechanical, Instrumental and Electrical Skid Designs except for compressor performed by Falcon. Total project cost was $5.2 million. Project was fastracked and fully designed (Grassroots) by Falcon engineers and designers.
